MCP Setup
Prerequisites
- Unity 6+; Node.js 18+.
Companion app or plugin
Name: MCP Unity by CoderGamester Install URL: https://github.com/CoderGamester/mcp-unity
- Install through Unity Package Manager using the repository guide.
- Open Tools → MCP Unity → Server Window.
- Generate the configuration for your chosen client and start the Unity bridge.
Use the generated per-project settings and token-file paths.
Client setup

Transport: stdio
- Use the Server Window client-install buttons for Claude Code, Cursor, Codex CLI or another listed client.
- Restart the MCP client after configuration; keep the Unity editor open.
The Node bridge path and authentication token path depend on your Unity project. Do not copy another project’s package-cache hash.
