Overview

The Canva MCP Server (also known as the Canva AI Connector) is Canva's official implementation of the Model Context Protocol (MCP). It securely connects AI coding and productivity assistants to your Canva account, enabling them to create new designs, modify existing ones, autofill brand kits and templates, search your design library, and export assets — all via natural language prompts.

Launched to make design as seamless as conversation, it powers AI-assisted creative workflows across tools like Claude Desktop/Code, Cursor, ChatGPT, and others. There is also a separate Canva Dev MCP Server for developers building Canva Apps and integrations.

Setup & Installation

Find Connectors / Integrations / MCP Servers and select Canva
Authorize with your Canva account via OAuth
